Remixes!!!

So I suck and dropped out on remix- I put Buffy on my list of fandoms I write, and got assigned a primarily Angel writer, and I never watched Angel until Spike went over there. I started flipping out to the point that I was questioning my own sanity, so I decided to hit the default button early in the hope that the author would get something better than whatever last minute panic attack I could throw out there. Seriously, I was going to remix a Riley-centric character piece, that's how desperate I was for something long enough to remix and in canon I knew.

I saw coricomile post something that I was on the list of people that needed pinch hitters, but since I'd already hit the default button I figured that was a mistake, and when she said I was off the list already I figured that it had just gotten cleaned up.

Nope, I got a fantastic pinch-hit, I Don't Know How You're Supposed to Find Me Lately (But Keep Thinking Of Me, I'll Find You First) by an author who is yet to be revealed but is completely obvious (in a good way, my dear, you have a very particular turn of phrase is all). Also, seeing me on that list inspiredcoricomile to write With Eyes Open Wide (which is a remix of Party Favors, so the same warnings apply- it's underage dub-con). Thank you so much to both of you!

Everyone who reads bandom go and read them both, they are both great stories by better authors than I am (not being needy or anything, my self-esteem is just fine, I just know that I'm much better at coming up with ideas for fic than actually fleshing it out, and these two are some of the best in bandom at giving flesh).

And if you are reading this, person who was originally assigned me, you made the right choice dropping out. I know how much it sucks to be assigned to someone you don't feel you can do justice to, and how guilty you feel dropping out, but sometimes it is the best way to get someone the best remix they can get.
